This is too sensible. Better push a side panel that keeps opening again. Also removing history, tapping on single art to return to the particular place in your currently playing playlist etc. I lost track of how many useful features Spotify removed...

This is so impressive. I've been using figma for about 6 months now and ik that doing all these redesigns, especially hi-fi and so freaking clean, would take me ages to do on my own. And your clever reimagining of the app is also incredible. Ik I personally get stuck in the rut of not really understanding how things can change drastically while at the same time not ruining the flow most people have, but I think you've nailed it.

I didn't even know about some of these UI options in Spotify's current app lol, love the tabbed design idea! also so much of this is how itunes actually works 😅

It feels like so many apps nowadays have just become full of ads :( whether that’s recommending promoted artists that have absolutely no relation to what you listen to at all on Spotify, or adding crap tons of extra ads like RUclips or TikTok

Spotify is in serious need of a redesign. I've been close to leaving to another platform recently because the design is such a total mess.

Watching this made me realize I don't actually hate the sleek modern style. . . I just don't like the way Spotify and RUclips make it look. Great redesign!

What I miss is a 'history' page. Sooo often I come across a song while walking or cycling I will then never be able to find once I have access to my phone again because I can't see what songs I've been listening to if they're not in any playlists I saved

Valve really needs to hire this creative girl, those ideas would fit very well for the Steam launcher. But i want to know how it will look when someone uses a reduced screen instead of a full screen, a different aspect radio (like 4:3) or a diferent screen resolution

You called out brilliantly why people hate the app. If they didn’t have the best music recommendations I dont think people would gravitate towards their offering nearly as much

As a product manager, some features don't make sense from a product standpoint (e.g. you won't be able to convert the user without that Premium tab at the bottom right). So yeah, it's better to "haunt" the user with it because otherwise, your app would lose money Also, I'd say sometimes you used too many tabs+filters - the UI looked cumbersome at 16:30 But I do agree that sometimes Spotify is very whacky, and your design at 5:20 is brilliant. I'm not sure what Spotify is doing, but their discovery pipeline is pretty much broken. With your proposed design there, they'd grow their "time-to-play music" metric for sure

You had me when you did the Steam redesign...but I never knew I needed a Spotify UI redesign as much after watching this video. This solves SO MANY PROBLEMS!

Absolutely Loved the way you do and organize stuff. Pls can you do one for Letterboxd. It is to old and complicated to know where everyting is.

wait wait wait... you are telling me there is somebody out there adding different playlists to the queue one right after the other? omg that doesn't seem right to my small autistic brain i mean, different playlists = different kinds of music = different moods i've never did that but it's still a good idea being able to interact with already-in-queue elements

And yet, Spotify still has a better UI than Apple Music. You absolutely killed this redesign.
